Lucia's forest that she was born in was destroyed during the Garlean empire's expansion when she was still only a young child - an event that happened many decades ago. While not specifically targeted, it lay in the path of the invading army as the empire conquered the Ilsabard and Othard continents, and ended up razed to the ground as the army moved through it. Although Lucia managed to escape with survivors from her village, she was separated from her family in the chaos and never saw them again; the survivors scattered all across the continent, seeking refuge in other villages that managed to emerge intact from the war.As expected, the loss of both home and family at such a young age was deeply traumatizing. Lucia was never able to overcome that and feel at home in the village that took in her and the other survivors; while the others resettled and started anew, she was unable to forget the forest she was born in, even as the years passed. Once she was of age, Lucia left, never to return; by choosing to leave the forest and breaking what the Viera called the "Green Word," she was now regarded as an exile.She had hoped to find some kind of answer to what had happened to her family in the outside world, but as first the years and then decades passed, she had no choice but to realize that there would probably never be one.
Those familiar with Garlean culture may recognize Lucia as a Garlean name which would seem odd for a Viera to have one. It is unsurprisingly not her real name, as "Lucia" was what she had picked for herself after leaving the forest and traveling through Garlean territory. Her forest name - the name that she was born with - is incredibly precious to her and not something she shares easily. Less than a handful of people have been told of it over the decades since she left the forests.
TRIVIA.
Her memories of her birth family are vague. She remembers that her mother was warm and loving, and that she had one older sister that still lived with them.
She had only seen her father once, when he came to collect the male Viera when she was only a few summers old. That was when she realized that fathers existed and she had one.
Because she was so young when she was seperated, she can barely remember her family and can only recall vague impressions.
Unsurprisingly, she has intimacy issues and her way of coping is to not let herself get attached or too invested in others.
Her boobs are huge.This is very important (to me).
